Garth was born and raised in Charleston, Illinois and is a graduate of Lake Land College. He has sixteen years experience in the food and beverage industry, with five of those years in management at Roc's Blackfront Tavern and Grill, Cody's Restaurants and the Brickhouse Bar and Grill. Garth wants to make sure everyone feels at home and comfortable in the club and looks forward to growth in the future.
Head Golf Professional
Our golf professional Logan Murphy grew up in Mount Vernon, Illinois where he played high school golf. He then played collegiate golf at Rend Lake College and Columbia College earning his Bachelor's in Business Administration majoring in Management and Sports Management. He interned as the assistant golf professional for a summer at St. Clair Country Club out of college. He then went on to become Assistant Golf Professional at Gateway National for a short while before becoming the 1st assistant at Effingham Country Club for two years. Logan accepting the Head Golf Pro position at Charleston Country Club and has been working here since January 2017.
Fond memories of preparing holiday meals with his mom and aunts growing up in the Chicago suburbs led Joe to pursue a career in the culinary arts. For a decade, he cooked and then managed Roc's Blackfront Tavern and Grill in Charleston before moving on to Biaggi's in Champaign and Chicago's Eataly. Now back in Central Illinois, Joe is the head chef at the CCC since May of 2017. He likes to experiment with the menu and is always willing to try something new.
Jan Ziebka has been handling bookkeeping since June of 2017. Jan has a degree in accounting and has worked as a comptroller for Celotex for 11 years and then as a logistics coordinator for Dow Chemical. Ziebka says she enjoys organizing and sorting things out and enjoys the flexibility of the job.
